This means GM has a lot riding on the Chevrolet Silverado, because this truck will be its standard-bearer for years to come. With that in mind GM engineers and designers have made substantial changes to the pickup -- an improved chassis, more precise steering and a quieter, more upscale interior offering two completely different looks.
At its introduction he Silverado also offered segment-leading fuel economy thanks to the new line of Active Fuel Management-equipped V8 engines. And for those with an ecological bent, a Flex Fuel E85-capable engine is also available.
